Week 6: Little Victories

 Little Victories

Hello, Everyone!

Well, its finally happened. After six weeks of preparation, I finally completed ONE WHOLE MODEL! Exhilarating, I know. Joking aside, I'm very happy with how my planned color scheme turned out. I tried a few different colors out, and eventually settled on Blue, Brown, Grey, and White. I painted a few models with these colors, and eventually settled on a format I liked. Forgive the quality of the pictures, getting my phone's camera to focus on a tiny model is no mean feat.

I decided to make White the primary color, with Blue the secondary. I like how much the white stands out, and the darkness of the blue helps the rest of the colors stand out more. Brown and grey make up the other details, such as extra equipment and belt straps. This model took me about 15-20 minutes, though about half that time will be cut down when I refine the process.

I make no secret of my dislike for the painting process, but overall painting this model wasn't so bad. The painful part will be the next 30+ models I have to paint in the exact same way. I wont even pretend to have an idea of what my next update on this kit will be like, but hopefully I will have a few more in the batch finished. See you then!
